Federal and Provincial politicians including Premier Dwight Ball and Minister Judy Foote were at the University to making an important announcement regarding the new core science facility (building), which is on schedule to open in 2019. More information can be found in Memorial’s gazette newspaper.  Chemistry will be one of the department’s moving into the new building with new research and teaching laboratory space.

Chris Kozak (Professor of Catalysis, Department of Chemistry) was asked to say a few words about the impact that this will have on science faculty and students. A photo of Chris with Premier Ball, Minister Foote and Memorial’s President Kachanoski is shown below.

Fran Kerton and Chris Kozak were both interviewed by Kelly Foss yesterday for an article in the gazette about the new building.
